As a biologist I am naturally fascinated by the biodiversity in the rain forest, referring to animals as well as plants. On this three-parted painting you can see Agalychnis callidry, a small frog living in the rain forest of central america. It jumps from a leaf through the three frames to cling to the edge of the third frame. To stress the biodiversity in the rainforest I engraved plants into the glass instead of painting them in order to not overload the paintings with colour.
